BREXIT: No changes for EU professionals!

The BREXIT will not cause any changes for EU healthcare professionals who want to work in the UK. We will keep you posted!

TMI helps you with the registration procedure in the UK

For several years now, EU nurses and doctors have been working in various hospitals in the United Kingdom through TMI. In order to be able to work in the UK, you have to be registered at the relevant competent authority (e.g. NMC or GMC). The registration procedure is constantly changing. For example, the IELTS test was introduced in February 2016. In this English language test you have to prove that you have mastered the English language on a sufficient level. However, since we have many years of experience in placing EU healthcare professionals in the UK, we can provide you with valuable information and tips regarding the registration and the IELTS test.

The BREXIT will not affect EU healthcare professionals

Recently, it was announced that a BREXIT will take place in the UK. This means that the United Kingdom is going to resign from the European Union. The question arises whether this development will affect EU healthcare professionals who want to work in the UK. The answer is no. In the next future, the BREXIT will not have any effects on the registration procedure for EU professionals in the healthcare sector. It is also likely that the United Kingdom will become a member of the EFTA (European Free Trade Association).

It is good to know that the BREXIT will also not have an influence on candidates who have already started with the UK registration procedure. Our UK hospitals are still happy to hire EU nurses and doctors.

We will keep you up to date!

As a recruitment partner in the healthcare sector, TMI stays informed about possible changes for EU professionals who want to work in the UK. For us, it is a natural course of action that we keep our (future) candidates posted about the development regarding the BREXIT. Therefore, we will immediately inform and advice you in case of any changes regarding the registration process.
